I remember sending this picture to my dad the day it was taken and him loving it as much as I hoped he would. He has a close bond with the Bean that I really cherish. Happy Father’s Day to my wonderful dad, who I come to love, understand, and appreciate more and more as the years go by.

(It’s always these days designated to our parents that I find myself missing them the most. Bah.)

…So I still want to move to SF really badly. But the wise decision has been made that we should wait until our parents don’t have to pay for absolutely everything we have money to do it right. That decision is mostly courtesy of my sage husband, not by reckless impulsive me. Sadface, but I think it’s the right decision to wait. Or at least the most logical.

This makes me want to make lots of money right this second so I can get up there ASAP. But ASAP is likely several months away.

I’m on the edge of my sanity down here though… I gotta work on that. It’s not necessarily something a move up north will fix.

This weekend, my dad graduated from USF’s MBA for Executives program. It was a long-time goal of his and I’m so proud of him for achieving it.  I couldn’t find a picture of a weenie wearing a mortarboard like I wanted, but figured this weenie in a pirate hat would suffice. ;)

We had a fantastic time up in the Bay Area, as always. Got us contemplating a future move up there… Time will tell. I’ll give LA a little longer but as usual, I left my heart in San Francisco.

[my Bean, Easter '10]

Hi again.

Thus endeth my blogging hiatus. No real plan for what I’ll be writing about next, but here are some general updates, a few of which I’ll likely expound upon later:

  • Last month, I became a certified personal trainer. Tomorrow I start an internship working under a woman I’m fairly certain will become my fitness-career-idol. I. AM. EXCITED.
  • In January, I (finally) got a DSLR so the picture quality in this bloggy blog is about to be off the heezy fo’ sheezy. We went with the Canon Rebel T2i, not just for picture quality, but video as well. Hoping to shoot some shorts with it once I get a better handle on the mechanics of the camera… And once I write something.
  • In the past few months, I’ve designed a couple websites and have greatly improved my WordPress + Photoshop skills, so this site will be getting a sexy makeover in the coming weeks.
  • Today, my husband and I celebrated our two year anniversary. Say what? It seems crazy when I think about it, but living it has been nothing short of amazing. I don’t want to get as mushy as I did last year so I’ll stop myself there.
  • We’ve added another pup to our pack! Her name is Cinnamon, she’s 9 months old, and she is a big ol’ bundle of love.
