Since 2011, I’ve been a certified personal trainer with a passion for helping people take actionable steps toward their fitness goals.

For most of my life before this, however, I was about as inactive as humanly possible. I never played sports, was not a member of a gym, and spent a large amount of my time on my computer or channel-surfing on my couch. At age 22, unhappy with where that had gotten me, I decided to make a change and began working out at home. The idea of going to a gym to exercise around others was too daunting. I experimented a variety of workouts until I started seeing results and finding what truly worked for me. Seeing the positive effect it had on my life beyond just the physical, exercise became an integral part of my daily life.

I became a trainer so that people, like me, can see how simple it can be to get fit and stay healthy. (Simple, but not easy.)

I hope to inspire others to begin and maintain fitness routines that push them to be better, stronger, healthier individuals. There’s a certain enlightenment that comes from doing something you never thought you could do.
